The man in the box tries to break down the distance from the viewer by becoming isolated in a concrete structure using technology (i.e. video portapak, inside monitor outside). He tries to create a situation for real communication. The viewer becomes a witness to the inevitable breakdown and finds himself looking into one box to see into another.
