Moving Mountains focuses on a group remarkable women who were the first coal miners in Canada. They are brave, funny, smart ,and are great advocates. The film documented their efforts to win job opportunities, equity and recognition for their skills and abilities, while exploring the resistance to their inclusion among their male colleagues. The documentary is energetic, affirming and shows an important historical development in the labour movement and in the women’s movement.
