Two stories describing shortcuts to salvation. Indoors, nightgowned, the first woman is in an instructional video, lulled by a soothing professional voice into performing a strange series of step-by-step rituals (changing
handwriting, sleep positions) guaranteed to make her "become the personality she's always wanted to be". The second woman is on the streets of Tokyo, buffeted by human streams. She confesses to the camera of the joy of giving up free will to "an indifferent higher power"- in this case to the whims of a little green (walk sign) man - on the chance of forming a pattern greater than any plan she could come up with alone.
