Covered With Cold Sweat

1983, 08:00 minutes, colour

Drawing on themes from popular culture: films, comics, television characters and cliches; Schouten creates a world ripe with passion, mortal fear, seductive eroticism, and blind panic; perils which plague her female characters. Adored film heroes and fictitious types such as King Kong and Spiderman take part, and Schouten herself, by moving among them, becomes a comic figure, a type a living cliche.
