Fz-978 APOLLO 2000 is a continuation/extrapolation of the film making methodology Van LaPointe first used in fz-976. Shot entirely on super-8 film, LaPointe has chosen to use dream-like juxtaposition of black/images as a launching pad for the waking-dream narrative trajectory of the viewer. On LaPointe’s own narrative trajectory, he states "fz-978 is for me a lament of the future promised and not delivered in the heyday of the Apollo space program.
