HIV Rollercoaster

Paul Lang

2001, 27:00 minutes, colour, English

From cocktail therapy to community policing to gay male porno identity, from dizzying heights to spiraling descent, HIV Rollercoaster takes on difficult issues of the HIV plague.
An experimental documentary examining the lives of men affected by HIV, representing the three decades of the HIV plague - its effect on both straights and gays and the choices made by different people.
Sexual identity, condom politics, barebackriding, self-empowerment, community standards, pharmaceutical ads and life in prison are some of the issues that challenge the viewer to take this rollercoaster ride.
