Television and convenience stores are symbols of what is wrong with our culture today. Or are they? In this video the 7-11 is transformed from the bastion of global Americanization into the repository for a young woman's search for her father. Her Double Big Gulp cup opens a liquid portal into her destabilized memory which has been damaged by other peoples narratives. Using video and popular culture imagery she can remember her father which forces a reconciliation of her academic feminism with her working class origins.
