The Great Mojado Invasion (The 2nd US-Mexico War)

Guillermo Gomez-Pena and Gustavo Vazquez

1999, 26:00 minutes, colour, English/Spanish

This futuristic mockumentary creates an uproarious historical reversal by setting the stage for an invasion of the United States by Mexico. Using numerous film clips showing deplorable Hollywood stereotypes of Mexico and Mexicans, Vasquez and Gómez-Peña create a scenario in which dastardly mustachioed bandits conquer the United States and impose their own language and culture upon Anglo-Americans.
