49 Days - in motion
2002, 16:00 minutes, colour, English
An abstract, visual charting of my body in motion over a 49-day period provides the context for an exploration of my relationship to movement and physicality. These patterned images are juxtaposed with anecdotal stories told in voice-over. Themes of power, physical prowess, a need for mobility, and the fear of the body's fragility are accessed through personal accounts of ball games, rocking horses, fierce competition , and my terminally ill sister.
