The Sheelagh, a traditionally animated video, tells the story of Brigit, a young Canadian lesbian of Irish heritage. She's backpacking across Ireland searching for Sheelagh na gigs, which are ancient stone carvings of women. When she finds one, she gets a big surprise. The story plays on traditional fairytales with a modern sensibility.

First time videomaker Barb Taylor Coyle has created whimsical watercolour backgrounds and painted on acetate cells to create an atmospheric look. The sound track features a traditional Irish folk song with Bee Sack on tin whistle and October Browne on bohran. Bee and October are also the main voices.
