petit péché (little sin)

Cheryl Rondeau

2004, 05:00 minutes, colour, french w eng subtitles

Three women separately inhabit an expansive sterile space, captured in close-up, fragmented, in a state of contemplative gaze. The routine of street life plays out just beyond a window. Compelled by a voice-over, the viewer is directed through a series of intimate moments in which the narrator superimposes an account of immobilizing drudgery. It's a story that neither begins nor ends - never climaxing - housed in a place with neither entrance nor way out.
