In the early 1970's , the central region of Togo had a lush, tropical forest, and fruits and vegetables were plentiful. Today, the Sahel robs them of their land. This video describes the work carried out by Serge Charron, an agro-forester, with the Kotokoli farmers and provides an idea of the efforts needed to stop desertification in these regions.
Au début des années 70, la région centrale du Togo était encore une forêt tropicale fertile. Les fermiers kotokoli bénéficiaient de récoltes abondantes de fruits et de légumes. Aujourd'hui, le désert du Sahel gruge leur terre. Ce document témoigne du travail effectué par Serge Charron, agro-forestier, avec les fermiers kotokoli afin d'arrêter la désertification.
