Walking Abandoned Walls

Lezli Rubin-Kunda

2006, 01:30 minutes

TAPECODE 115.09

To the tune of traditional old American folk songs, the artist walks on the many stone walls constructed several hundred years ago in the fields of an old abandoned New England farmstead. For all their labor-intensive construction, these walls now stand deserted, and with no function, amid the fields that are slowly returning to woodland.

The work was carried out at I-Park Artists' Residency, East Haddam, Connecticut, U.S.A
