River Mandala

Lezli Rubin-Kunda

2005, 02:45 minutes

Using the natural materials in her immediate surroundings, the artist creates a floating circular work on the river.

The work is part of a larger project, 10 Mandalas (115.03) created during a three week residency at Boreal Art/Nature Centre, in summer 2003. It was influenced by the presence of a Tibetan artist/monk who created a traditional sand mandala during the residency.
