Part Two of The Electronic Diary, in which Hershman discusses the myriad aspects of the obsession to over-eat, touching on areas such as early traumatic incest, war, death, and sexual indulgence. She overlays and underscores her comments with an increasing use of visual effects: screen-splitting, distortion, mirroring and maneuvering, shattered images of her own face about itself. The artist discloses her experiences over a period of her life when she not only lost thirty five pounds, but developed a sense of herself that she had been, quite literally, insulated from feeling.
