"echoes" is a 2-minute film by Métis filmmaker Cara Mumford, combining Super 8 film, still photography, manipulated found video and animation. Utilizing both spoken word poetry and dance, this visual poem attempts to contextualize the post-9/11 world by exploring the echoes of past atrocities. The film features dancer Oriana Evoy as the Gothic Ballerina and the voice of Calgary actress Emma Claire Miller.
