Bird Lady (Installation)

Geoffrey Pugen

2010, 08:00 minutes, colour

‘Bird Lady’ creates an impossible scenario that provokes questions about portraiture and power. By adopting the rhetorical and aesthetic devices of portraiture and advertising, images morph digitally, combine and reconstruct exploring the myriad dysfunctional ways that humans attempt to ‘master’ and transform our identity, fellow animals and nature as a whole.
