Subjects acts as documentation for a month-long project where the public was invited to participate in a realty TV show about their problems and fears, conducted as weekly talk-therapy style sessions. Each week, the interviews were edited into short episodes posted to YouTube, which were ultimately combined into this “pilot.” The pilot premiered at a screening at a large downtown movie theatre where the participants were present and, along with the audience, invited to engage both the panel of experts speaking after the show.
