The Pregnant Male incorporates video documentation depicting the process of drawing theories of embryology on the skin, a didactic lecture on the history of gender construction and the contemporary science of developmental biology. The formal lecture format is ruptured by performances involving masks, body drawing, music and live audio treatment by composer Don Stein.
