1992, 10:00 minutes, English
This experimental video uses the text "Van Gogh - Man Suicided by Society", by Antonin Artaud as its premise. Using images shot in Haiti, France, Nova Scotia and London, England in conjunction with a soundtrack from Haitian drummer Gravy Malic as well as music by the artist band Babbies Upstairs, this video creates a beautifully rhythmic relationship between visual and audio components. The combination of elements creates an hypnotic and at times jarring experience for the viewer.
