This video is part of an online 2017 web series called Lonely Videos. The series was inspired by the term, “the lonely web”, which was coined by writer Joe Veix for Fusion.

“(The lonely web)… lives in the murky space between the mainstream and the deep webs. The content is public and indexed by search engines, but broadcast to a tiny audience, algorithmically filtered out, and/or difficult to find using traditional search techniques.”

Specifically looking at YouTube, 300 hours of video are uploaded every minute, yet according to TubeMogul, 53% of these videos have fewer than 500 views and about 30% have less than 100 views. That means that there are a lot of lonely videos out there. This project sets out to find “friends” for these digital entities. Each month I found and re-made videos with less than 20 views and then post them back to YouTube to see if I can increase the number of views (friends).

the coyotes must see the moon… was composed of a YouTube video shot by Cee52Jay. Although I send this person a YouTube message I did not get a reply, so I am not sure who this person is. the coyotes must see the moon… is my statement on political issues revolving around incidents that occurred in 2017, nature trumps man…and that is the extent of my political statement.
