Blue (2018) – is a six minute video that documents the performance and art of the Blue Devil Posse. The Blue Devil Posse is a loose collectively structured group that is made up of artists, activists, queers, racialized and Caribbean inspired folk who have a strong anti-colonial and social justice core. The Blue Devil Posse is inspired by the Paramin Blue Devils from Trinidad. The Trinidad Blue Devils are carnival characters and archetypes that embody the ‘devil’ as a cathartic performance and creative expression for the benefit of onlookers all of whom are actively engaged in the fight against racism, oppression and injustice. This was screened as part of a discussion about Blue devils.
