Pulse, Off, Dispense, Smoothie, Milkshake, Icy Drink​ is a site-specific improvisational performance for video set on the shoreline on a lake in SeBright Ontario. With a camera, extension cord, blender, recorder and microphone arranged on the beach, the artist retrieves objects from the surrounding landscape. A series of shells, grasses, pinecones, sticks, and rocks are blended before the camera. Some materials create a creamy blend while others stop the belder’s function. Merging humour and futility ​Pulse, Off, Dispense, Smoothie, Milkshake, Icy Drink c​onsiders human’s impact on the natural environment using the body and a utilitarian household object.
