Artist

Jordyn Stewart

Jordyn Stewart is an emerging artist from the Niagara Region. Working predominantly in performance for video, Stewart’s practice is part homage, and part critical inquiry, as she creates performative re-enactments to engage in an exploration of personal identity through the juxtaposition of the artificial, and the real.

She holds a BA, Specialist in Art and Art History at the University of Toronto, joint program with Sheridan College. Stewart is a recent MFA graduate from the University of Waterloo and was a recipient of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Master’s Scholarship. She has exhibited in galleries such as Trinity Square Video, Hamilton Artists Inc., and Gallery Stratford.
