Maya Ben David is an emerging Toronto based visual artist. Through video she draws attention to moments in animation, film and popular culture that explore simulations of the “real” and sentience through appropriated, nostalgic media. Her videos have been screened at Trinity Square Video Fever and Double Double Land. She won first place at the University of Guelph's Juried Art Show for her short video Insert Coin.
