Joanne Bristol trained as an artist and has a PhD in architectural design from UCL (London, UK). Her work, presented through exhibitions, performances, single-channel videos and writing, investigates relationships between nature and culture, and between the body and language. She also writes about art, curates and has taught at a number of Canadian universities.
