Time To Time

Robert Milthorp

1986, 05:30 minutes, colour, English

The work is based upon a juxtaposition of an intimate, playful image with the mediated (television) image of a news spectacular. At issue is the relative "truth" or meaningfulness as each sequence unfolds. The condensed time of the media image contrasts with the actual time of the intimate image. A parallel theme is found in the "starring" roles, which in both sequences are held by women.
