Memory, Ghosts and Deja-Vu

Liz Rosch

1998, 26:48 minutes, colour, English

"Memory, Ghosts and Deja-Vu" is an esoteric wandering through the body, into the realm of consciousness and spirit.
The filmmaker documents exotic travel with nostalgic Super Eight film and stark "Pixel Vision". The effect is that of being seduced through the experience while being bombarded with recollection.
This vision quest is articulated to the filmmaker's dead friend Michael in the form of letters on screen, which of course, he will never receive. The release is cathartic, the result is glowing and optimistic.
