Willie - Canada's bachelor Prime Minister 45:00
Canada in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. Buggery laws still make gay sex illegal. Yet for twenty-six years, the nation is led by the peculiar bachelor Prime Minister, William Lyon Mackenzie King. This Prime Minister fights with England and his Parliament to appointed Governor General - John Buchan, a man he has met in England and fallen deeply in love with. "Willie" charts Mackenzie King's failed relationship with the married Buchan. Exploring his closeted sexuality in the face of a repressive time, King is transported out of his period, into a modern day Hockey Night in Canada play-off game, the battle against AIDS, a cruising park and then back again.

The cast includes a strong line up of well known faces from the Toronto theatre scene: David Ramsden, Kirsten Johnson, David Bateman, Peter Lynch, Alex Bulmer, Clinton Walker, Rusty Ryan and many others.
Original music by politiKILL inCOREct.
