Hummer Sisters

The Hummer Sisters were founding members of VideoCabaret. The Hummers of 1976-79 (Deanne Taylor, Janet Burke, Marien Lewis, Bobbe Besold) morphed into the Hummers of 1980-88ish (Taylor, Burke, Jennifer Dean) and have since worked together on many productions, but not officially as the Hummers.

The Hummer scripts were written by Deanne Taylor with Music by Andrew Paterson or Brent Snyder; the video-environment and staging ideas evolved collaborativel with major contributions by the Hummers, Chris Clifford, Bongo Kolycius, Allan Novak, Keith Holding. Deanne Taylor and Michael Hollingsworth  are still the Artistic Directors of VideoCabaret, which archives the scripts and tapes associated with the Hummer Sisters.
