The Youth Services Bureau is a non-profit United Way agency which has been helping young people and families in Ottawa-Carleton for over 30 years. In 1992, YSB established the Youth Services Bureau Non-profit Housing Corporation, a related agency, to address the housing needs of youth.

YSB programs provide support to young people and encourage them to explore their options and to rely on their own judgement to make changes with which they can be comfortable. The programs aim to help youth build healthy self - esteems, which in turn help them develop healthier ways of coping with difficulties in their lives.

Youth play a key role in the agency through the Board of Directors, Youth Advisory Committees, Tenant Co-operatives and program planning and development.
